Each year, the AKC Humane Fund, a not-for-profit organization, honors five dedicated, hardworking dogs for making significant contributions to an individual or entire community.
Defenders For Children is highly honored to have Sergeant Rainey with Internet Crimes Against Children and Electronic Detection K9 "Queue" recipients of the American Kennel Club ACE Awards for their fantastic work. K9 "Queue" has many accomplishments in saving and protecting children while bringing solid evidence to prosecute criminals. "Queue" is one of Eleven Electronic Detection K9s Defenders For Children has donated to law enforcement agencies located in different areas dealing with high levels of child abuse, trafficking, and child pornography. On average, the K9s discover two devices per search, with many of the devices holding the needed evidence to prosecute those who are hurting the children.

Defenders For Children is a nonprofit that offers programs that bring ongoing education and awareness and donates Electronic Detection K9s to law enforcement agencies dealing with horrible Crimes Against Children. The K9s are new and a needed powerful tool that assists law enforcement in locating hidden electronic evidence missed during searches. We know offenders and criminals will hide what they do not want to be found. One tiny cut micro SD card can be the evidence to prosecute the criminal and rescue hundreds of children while holding millions of images and videos of children being hurt.
With the number of predators on the loose and cases growing at alarming rates, we must do what we can to stop the offenders from hurting a child. One Solid piece of evidence located by our K9s can help stop individuals, traffickers, pornographers, murderers, and more.

Our Electronic Detection K9s have located an estimated 2200 or more hidden electronic devices missed by law enforcement during searches.
The devices include micro SD cards, thumb drives, hidden cameras, and more. One Device located can hold millions of horrible images and videos of children being abused.When solid evidence is presented, many children or victims do not have to be retraumatized in court.
Many child sex crime cases do not make it to court due to a lack of evidence. Our K9s help locate solid evidence, finding, on average, two hidden devices per search.
According to the Child Rescue Coalition, 70% of child abusers have 50 to 150 victims each.
We place the K9s with law enforcement agencies, the Children's Crime Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services.
The K9s are therapeutic for the victims who are part of these horrible crimes and those who investigate the crimes.
In November 2022, we donated the first State Level Electronic Detection K9 to Probation and parole agency in the U.S. The K9 will locate evidence in the homes of existing registered sex offenders, and our hope is that this will become a deterrent to those prior offenders. The K9 has located over 200 Devices within eight months.
Each K9 can help Rescue children currently being abused & and stop those who have been hurting them for eight to ten years.
We currently donate K9s in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Illinois, which are scheduled for placement. Pending approval, North Carolina, Florida, New York.
We are helping to combat the growing rate of child abuse, trafficking, and child pornography by deterring and stopping those who are hurting the children.
